Today I want to tell you about the investment I make in myself!
Maybe you're not interested and I'll save you the minutes of reading, maybe you're interested and read on, I don't know, it's your decision.
It turns out that I am doing some sessions of professional reorientation to move towards my professional development. Well, in short, I became aware that the skills I have do not fit the job role I am currently fulfilling, so I had started to get angry with the type of leadership and work dynamics my manager was suggesting.
I understood that I was often doing too much because I had the capacity to do so, but... that in all types of relationships there must be a balance between giving and receiving. Well, that was clearly not the case.
One of the skills I have is the ability to observe and see the points of improvement in processes (especially in work dynamics), as well as possible simple and actionable solutions.
Having this ability, or whatever you want to call it, without being able to apply it in the role I was not fulfilling, created even more anger in me, and I started thinking about how he does not realize it and why he does not solve it in these possible ways without drowning in a glass of water?
Then I understood that everyone solves it from his own experience and abilities (sometimes better and sometimes worse). The interesting thing is to see how, even if we do not have the necessary skills, we are equally functional in certain roles and in certain contexts.
So I became aware that I had somehow "unconsciously" stopped giving too much and started putting focus, attention and energy into myself. In the life I want and deserve, in making my abilities available in a context where there is a systemic order of belonging, hierarchy and above all a balance between giving and receiving.
So it is very likely that I will share here how I am going through this process. Of course, it will be related to sports (as I have been all my life) and I am sure it will be related to tennis and women's soccer.
And that's all for today. Although if you want to know how the first session with my professional re-coach went or if I was able to contact Conchita Martinez, let me know in the comments (or by replying to the email) and maybe I'll even tell you.
